Dream Wedding Bridal Expo took money up front from bridal services for a show in the Dallas area. But the show wasn't booked and now the promoter, Karen Tucker, is charged with fraud.
The charges are in connection with several shows that were supposed to be held around the country, including Dream Wedding Bridal Expo. The show supposedly was scheduled in December, 2010, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Hotel, Grapevine, TX.
Kevin Cokely of NBC5-TV, Dallas - Fort Worth, reports that one bridal salon in Fort Worth paid hundreds of dollars up front to be in the show, then asked for the money back when it was discovered that the show wasn't booked for the Gaylord.
Chris Burgess of the Better Business Bureau in Dallas notes that, "It does seem like there have been other scams in her wake in the past and so the BBB in Dallas is very focused and concerned about this."
